About
I reside in scenic Sussex County, New Jersey in the northwest corner of the state. I live on a small lake and have a beautiful view. It is my little piece of heaven. I am an active parishioner at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel in Swartswood. I decorate the church and if you are interested here is some of my work in that regard. I am involved in fund raising and organizing social events. I was an on-line book dealer for over 10 years but, alas, that market and the internet market has changed a lot. So…
Hosanna started when…
we were renovating our church and installing a new, bigger altar. I asked Father Abuchi what he was going to do about getting a new altar cloth. I suggested I could sew one for the parish. Father wanted the linen to be mesa which has no drop-it fits exactly just on the top of the altar. It is the most difficult linen to construct as the size must be exact. As I was looking into fabrics, Father went ahead and ordered fabric at $60 a yard so the pressure was on. I did a lot of research and took much advice from Elizabeth Morgan of ChurchLinens.com. The cloth came out quite well for my first endeavor. I enjoyed it very much and so decided to learn all I could and develop my skills. It has been challenging but I love my work.
