Altar Cloths Fair Linens

Handmade fair linens altar cloths custom made to your specifications

Altar Cloths are custom made according to your specifications. Please use contact page to get started. Currently 7-8 week lead time. The fabrics available are:

Irish Linen: 6.5oz per square yard. Made with Belgian & French Yarn, Finished in Ireland. Available in 120” width.

Medium Weight Linen: At 5.3 ounces, this optic white 100% linen has a slightly rustic weave. Available in Vineyard Green and Royal Purple.

Rustic Heavy Weight Linen: At 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Good choice if you like just a bit more substance. This linen is available in Juniper Green and Royal Purple.C

Handkerchief Linen: For those who like a lighter weight, this 3.7oz linen will be a good choice.

Belgian Linen: 11oz per square yard. Available in white or ivory. Also available in slighter heavier weight 15 oz per square yard.

Rennes French Linen Rayon Blend: A blend of 30% linen and 70% rayon for reduced wrinkles with a linen like weave. Is available in 120” width.

Luxe Island Blend: 60% polyester 30% cotton 10% linen. Nice 7oz weight. The look & feel of European linen with greatly reduced wrinkles.

I shrink all linen and cotton prior to sewing to minimize shrinkage to you.

100% Polyester: Easy care fabric with attractive weave. Available in white, purple and forest green.

Cross Pattern Damask Polyester Fabric: Easy care polyester damask in two cross patterns. To see patterns click here.

On most altar cloths I make a 2” rolled hem with mitered corners. Currently 4-6 week lead time.

Curved Altar? Yes I can custom make a altar cloth to fit your altar. I do need a template to ensure a good fit.

8 Sided Altar Cloth

Made from fabric of your choice. Semi-fitted. Top is exact size of altar, sides panels are open. Length is of your choice. Front edge can be lace as shown or another panel. Contact me for pricing.

Gift to Church Adapted

Church received a beautiful linen cloth from Portuguese as a gift but alas it didn’t fit the altar. The embroidery sections were attached to a new cloth.

The Irish linen is a finely woven, 225 GSM, 100% European Linen Fabric with a soft hand and an elegant drape. Grown, cultivated and woven in Europe this linen Fabric comes from artisans who have been working with flax plants for centuries, developing and passing on their hard earned knowledge from generation to generation.
